Terms & Conditions

Before booking please take the time to read through the following, as it contains important information about your trip.

Booking and Payment

We strongly recommend that trips are booked in advance online and full payment will be taken at the time of booking.

Tickets are non transferable and are valid only for the date and time of the ticket.

A mobile phone number (if possible) and email address must be provided at the time of booking so that we can attempt to contact passengers regarding delays or cancellations.

We would advise passengers to check for texts and emails on the day of the trip or to call us on 07745994448 before setting out, for an update on the forecast.

Restrictions

Passengers must be agile enough to board our vessels unaided and be able to negotiate harbour steps.

At low water, passengers will be required to board a smaller vessel to be transferred to the Seahorse. Passengers wishing to avoid this should call 07745994448 and we will advise them of tide times for loading directly onto Seahorse from the harbour steps.

Occasionally, and on particular tides only, our small boat will embark from the beach. This sometimes means wet feet! If this is a concern, please call 07745994448 to check tide size and times for the date of the trip.

Unfortunately, due to loading conditions, we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users who cannot manage steps.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Maximum 12 passengers per trip (excluding babies 12 months and under).

Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Embarkation

Passengers MUST arrive at the correct location (The Slipway, St Ives TR261LH) at least 30 minutes prior to departure time. If there are problems travelling into St Ives, please call us on 07745994448 and we will do our best to help BUT no refunds will be provided to any passenger who fails to board on time and misses the boat.

Minimum passenger numbers of 6 per trip apply (excluding private charters). We reserve the right to cancel any sailing if minimum numbers are not achieved but will do our best to transfer you to another vessel departing at a similar time, or refund your ticket.

Car parks in the harbour area are small and normally full, so use the Park and Ride systems and allow plenty of time as even these can become congested at peak times!

Weather conditions can change rapidly and although Seahorse has a rain canopy, suitable protective clothing and sensible footwear should be worn.

Life jackets are provided.

We are not responsible for personal belongings taken aboard.

The skipper has the right to refuse entry for any reason and their decision is final.

Departure and Facilities

Passengers must pay attention and follow all safety instructions and announcements from the skipper and crew. Any passenger causing a disturbance or posing a safety risk will be taken ashore.

There is a W.C onboard Seahorse.

Refreshment are not supplied but passengers may bring their own.

Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel or alter the times of trips without notice. This is occasionally unavoidable due to changeable weather and sea conditions.

If we need to cancel a trip for any reason, passengers will be given the option to rebook for another time/day or to receive a full refund.

Please check carefully for texts and emails on day of departure.

Passenger Cancellation Terms

Passengers wishing to cancel their trip must provide a full 48 hours notice.

Passengers wishing to change the time and date of their trip must provide a full 24 hours notice. Please call 07745994448.
